• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin)

• Capable of teaching young students (will specify in interview)

• Minimum 2 hours per week of time consistently (occasional misses are okay)

Your English should be either fluent or at least on a fluid conversational level. Your Mandarin should be good enough to convey the lesson content to students who only speak Mandarin.

You need to be understanding, good working with kids, and very patient (sometimes).

Each Lesson would be around 1 hour of time depending on the student's needs, and it should take the same amount of time to prepare each lesson, so your volunteer hours would be double your class time. We ask you to dedicate allot a same chunk of time for each week to prepare and teach good quality lessons (we will train you before teaching).

You will be personally responsible for the student assigned to you, their progress, attitude, willingness to participate are all your job (we will of course help you). Any issues during or outside of class that needs resolving would need you to be responsible for communicating with their parent(s).
